Everything runs perfectly. Even applications like photoshop, flash, etc running under rosetta run really well. I only manage to use half the ram. Everything compiles really quickly. It is actually noticeable. For example, when using darwin ports, it is a lot quicker to install a package.<br /><br /><b>Heat</b><br /><br />This was the thing that was really worrying me. I work with my laptop on my lap quite a lot. The new MBP is fine. It gets a little hot right in the center up the back but that is fine. Actually I find that it runs cooler then the Powerbook most of the time. I.E. its not making me sweat.<br /><br /><b>Screen</b><br /><br />I opted for the plain (non-glossy) screen and it is brilliant. It is really really bright. Much brighter then the powerbook. I actually run it at half brightness.<br /><br /><b>Battery Life</b><br /><br />I seem to get around 4 hours on decent brightness. Which is perfect for me. And the magsafe power is really good. In terms of being able to not worry about the power cable getting wrecked like on the powerbook.<br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This machine is awesome.
